"Routines are made for people who are afraid of change."- Christina Pagliarulo
Let's just admit that a daily routine can be quite boring, you wake up have your coffee and drive to work bagel in one hand steering wheel in the other, come home make dinner...it's even boring to write about. I always say the best adventures are the ones done on a whim, the ones that you don't plan out. I believe plans are made for breaking, just like rules. They never work out, something more important usually comes up and you have to blow your friend off or reschedule your appointment. Either way it's no fun.
Try being spontaneous, if someone calls you and asks if you want to go out that night, instead of saying no I can't it's too short of notice...SAY YES! It's the best advice I can give you. Because you and I both know all you'd be doing is sitting at home on the couch eating your weight watchers brownie watching 20/20 all by yourself. What fun is that? Just the feeling of saying "YES!" feels good, try it! Didn't that feel great? You get a little burst of adrenaline and then you'll have something exciting to talk with your co-workers about the next day, because I'm sure they are sick of hearing about your cat. So forget your routines for awhile be more flexible it's a lot less stress full and you'll be able to breath easy. Don't go marking your calendar for tomorrow saying "be spontaneous" either, just leave your planner at home.
